Before work today I met up with Kristen and Amy at the The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum where they have on display Gee's Bend Quilts. The women in Alabama never had any formal training in quilting-they just continued on the traditions their mothers and grandmothers passed on to them.

This one was my favorite!
