Today was rough when it came to taking care of mom.

Thankfully, some friends came over to help and it was a big relief.

When they left and she finally fell asleep, I was able to finish my book, The Help. I highly recommend it!

Mom and I got to the hospital at 7AM for surgery. It was FREEZING in there!

She was in a lot of pain when she woke up :o(

We had quite the thunderstorm this afternoon as well. Lots of rain!

August 5, 2010

I got up this morning to take mom to a routine scan. After we were done, we went to Inlet Crab House for lunch.

Mom got oysters.

I got shrimp and grits!

On our way home, we get a call from her oncologist asking if we can make it to a urologist by 2:30 because she has a severe kidney stone.

We head to that doctor, he orders some more tests, and decides to operate tomorrow morning...

After work I went to Wal-Mart today to get some stuff for mom.

We got a few new cute things today at Gap!

I also had to pick up a prescription for mom today.

We went out for some ice cream this even too!

Emma and I had breakfast this morning at a local restaurant called Nibils. It's been here since we moved in here in 1989 and now their lease is running up. There's a lot of debate about what's going to happen, but I certainly hopes it stays!


After breakfast, I headed up to work to see Kiki! It was her first day back! Yay!

After that, I stopped by the shop to get my eyebrows waxed :o)

For dinner I headed to Beef O' Bradys to meet up with Antonella! Her son is going to Louisiana to play in the Dixie Youth World Series and they are doing some fund raising this week.

Alyssa came too, so you know we had to take about a hundred pictures!
